Why is it not possible to adjust the design in an ongoing order?

Currently, it is not possible to automatically adjust a design on a product in existing orders. This is due to several technical reasons that need to be considered:

- Firstly, a re-rendering of the affected products should be conducted, ensuring that the changes are implemented correctly to avoid issues with render scaling.

- Secondly, the matching and alignment of images in Shopify need to be carried out to ensure the correct appearance of the product.

- Furthermore, existing orders will retain the design that was present in the product before the change. For this reason, we explicitly request not to alter designs in "open" orders so that the designs can be transferred correctly.

However, you are welcome to change designs in products that are not included in "open" orders. In this case, you should click on "Publish Product" again. This will transfer the new version of the product to Shopify, and all necessary adjustments will be correctly implemented. Subsequently, all new incoming orders will already contain the new or modified design.

If you are using the direct ordering option, we recommend copying the product and making the changes in the copied product to ensure that existing orders are executed with the original design correctly.
